Starting 1st July 2021, international students studying in the United Kingdom have been granted an extended stay of 2 years once they graduate (Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D) regardless of their field of study.
This allowance does not require any employers to sponsor you so you don’t need a job to avail this opportunity. You only need to have completed your degree and living in the UK at the time of application for extension of visa.
Another help for international students is the flexibility in switching jobs. You do not need to be employed continuously at the same job, you can keep switching as you like depending on your opportunities.
The UK government’s aim is to bring in 600,000 additional foreign students to their universities by the year 2030 to help address the stark labor shortages being faced there.
